For flight schools

The student whose medical lapsed last week cannot book the airplane.

SkyFSBookings checks currency at the booking screen instead of at the ramp. Students request their own slots, your CFIs get assigned to the ones they can actually fly, and anyone whose paperwork has run out is stopped before they hold a set of keys.

Free forever for one aircraft · Unlimited students on every plan · No credit card required

Where a training day actually goes wrong

None of these are scheduling problems. They all arrive through the schedule.

The endorsement nobody re-checked

A 90-day solo endorsement ran out three weeks ago. It is written in a binder, the student booked online, and the first person to notice is the CFI who happens to ask on the way out to the airplane. Or nobody asks.

Two CFIs, one airplane, one Tuesday

Instructor availability lives in whatever calendar each of them prefers. Somebody promises a stage check at the same hour the airplane is already committed, and a student drives an hour to find out.

The airplane went in for an annual and the schedule did not notice

Maintenance is arranged by phone and remembered by one person. Everything booked against that tail number for the next nine days is still sitting there looking confirmed.

You cannot say which airplane earns its keep

Hours per tail, hours per instructor, and how often a slot gets booked and then quietly abandoned. Without those, the decision to buy or sell an airframe comes down to a feeling.

What changes on Monday

The schedule stops being the thing you administer.

Currency is a gate, not a report

Medical, Flight Review, and landing recency are tracked per person and evaluated when a booking is created. Out of date means the booking does not go through, with the reason on screen. An admin can still override deliberately, which is very different from finding out by accident.

Students request, you dispatch

They see live availability and ask for the slot they want. It lands in your queue as pending, and you confirm it, move it, or hand it to a different CFI. What disappears is the twenty text messages a day that used to be the booking system.

Instructor seats you add as you hire

Every CFI gets their own account and their own view of the day. Instructors and students are both unlimited on every paid plan, so a busy semester costs you nothing extra.

Pull an airplane off the line in two clicks

Mark the aircraft down for maintenance and every booking that now collides with it is flagged, so the rescheduling conversation happens today instead of when the student shows up.

Utilization you can take to the bank

Hours by tail number, hours by instructor, and the no-show pattern behind them. The numbers you need before signing for the next airplane, without exporting anything.

Live fleet position from ADS-B

Not yet shipped

Where each tail number actually is, with the calendar automatically holding anything still airborne so the next student is not standing on the ramp waiting for it.

Currency tracking is an administrative aid. It reflects the records entered into the system and does not replace the pilot in command's responsibility to determine their own currency and the aircraft's airworthiness under FAR 61.56, 61.57, and 91.3.

What it costs

Priced by airplanes, not by enrollment.

A school that doubles its student body pays exactly what it paid before. The plan you need is set by how many aircraft you dispatch and how many CFIs need seats, and nothing else.

  • Unlimited students on every plan, including the free one

Questions from chief instructors

What schools ask before they move the schedule.

Does this work for Part 141 as well as Part 61?
The scheduling, dispatch, and currency tracking work the same either way — a flight line is a flight line. What it is not is a Part 141 training records system: it does not hold your approved course outline, stage records, or graduation certifications, so it sits alongside whatever you use for those rather than replacing it.
What exactly happens when a student is out of currency?
The booking is refused at the point they try to create it, and the screen tells them which item has lapsed. An administrator can override and book on their behalf when there is a reason to, and the override is recorded. Currency tracking is an administrative aid: it reflects the records entered into the system and does not replace the pilot in command's responsibility under FAR 61.56, 61.57, and 91.3.
Can students book without us seeing it first?
No. A student booking always arrives as a request, and an administrator confirms, reassigns, or declines it. Around that you set the rules that shape what they can ask for: how far ahead they may book, the longest single booking, how late they can cancel, and whether every booking has to have an instructor assigned.
Do instructors need their own logins?
Yes, and they should have them. Each CFI gets an account with their own schedule, which is what makes instructor assignment mean anything. Instructor seats are what the paid plans meter: four on Small Fleet, ten on Full Fleet, uncapped on Unlimited.
How many students can we add?
As many as you have. Student accounts are unlimited on every plan including the free one, because the price is set by fleet size. Adding a summer intake does not change your bill.
How long does it take to get running?
An afternoon. Add your aircraft with their tail numbers and rates, invite your instructors, then invite students. It runs in a browser, so there is nothing to install and no server for someone to maintain.
What does it cost for a school our size?
One aircraft is free forever. Up to 3 aircraft is $19 a month, up to 8 is $39, up to 20 is $79, and uncapped is $149. Instructors and students are unlimited on every paid plan. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial and do not ask for a card up front.

Running a flying club instead? The same tool, argued for the other operation.
